PUNISHER DIRTY LAUNDRY: A TRAILER, A SHORT… I DON’T KNOW BUT IT KICKS ASS!
It may be that Thomas Jane knows his 2004 The Punisher film was weak. Ray Stevenson’s Punisher: War Zone was violent and punishing as it should have been but still not a big money maker. I enjoyed War Zone much more than the 2004 Punisher but I concede that War Zone had its issues but I appreciated the extra attention to the violence.
Now Thomas Jane and some friends, Ron Perlman, have put out a fan made film that runs a bit over 10 minutes showing Frank Castle living out of a crusty old van trying to mind his own business. The concrete jungle always needs a savior or at least someone to dole the punishment to those that deserve it. Enter Franks Castle that is just trying to mind his own business and do a load of whites at he local laundromat. The short film oozes cool and is very violent. Its awesome. Thomas Jane redeems himself with these 10 short minutes big time. Thomas Jane and Company are saying we are sorry but we get it… now. All I can say is WOW! Somebody give these guys the money they need to make a full blown movie. They got the right tone and take on Punisher IMO as evidenced by the short film. I’m in, just keep John Travolta far far way.
